Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Saturday June 2

Our READ FOR FUN SUMMER READING KICK-OFF will be held Saturday, June 2nd from 1:00-5:00 PM at the Bee Cave Public Library!

Here's how it works:

Kids—log your minutes, and earn fun prizes! READING LOGS will be available starting June 2nd.  When you drop in to sign up you can pick up a fun prize, make a cool bookmark, and check out something fun to read to get started!

Read at least 400 minutes, and we’ll put your photo up on our wall in your very own, personalized poster! Top readers will be entered in a drawing for grand prizes including a Nook Color®!

Teens and adults, we want you to READ FOR FUN, too—for each book you read, you’ll earn a raffle ticket to be eligible to win one of our fabulous prizes. Check out the prize display in the library foyer, including gift cards to local businesses and restaurants, and a Nook Simple Touch®!

More information is available on our 2012 Summer Reading Program Flyer.

If for some reason you can't make it on June 2 to sign up, that's okay, you can sign up anytime during the month of June.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:  Major repairs to the building this summer may require the library to be closed at times for your safety, and a schedule will be posted as soon as it becomes available.  Check this Summer Reading Blog, the Library Newsletter, Facebook, and Twitter for up-to-the-minute announcements about changes to our regularly scheduled hours.  Or call us at 767-6620, or email library@beecavetexas.gov .  We apologize in advance for the inconvenience, and will do our very best to serve you under these challenging conditions.

Congratulations to All of Our Readers!!!

We are so proud of the 505 readers who met their reading goals!  Together you read over a half million minutes!  Check back here next spring for all the scoop about our 2012 Summer Reading Program, and keep reading!

Please check out our Facebook page where we are asking  for your input concerning this year's program.  The question we are asking: What was your kids’ favorite thing about our Summer Reading Program—a book club, a magic show, craft days, seeing their poster on the wall?  We want to know!
